![]() As you may have read previously, we were delighted that The Memory Technology Library had been shortlisted for the Elevator Award. We were one of twelve innovative projects, from all across Ireland that were selected as candidates for the Elevator Award. Elevator were rewarding initiatives and projects across Ireland that were, and still are, contributing positively to the lives of those with dementia and their caregivers or health professionals in the area. The award recognizes those that are making meaningful contributions to improving quality of lives for those living with dementia. The ceremony was held last week in the helix, DCU on the 11th of December. We had a great day attending the event last week, lots of new learning and networking. It was a great honour to have been shortlisted for the award, among such innovative and exciting projects from all around Ireland. Click here to see the winner and the other short listed projects. The image to the left is our two OTs, Simone and Cáit, representing The Memory Technology Library at the Awards Ceremony. A large poster represented what the library is about, the statistics on the library visits so far, with an exciting 98% of visitors rating the library "very useful". In front of the girls you'll see various items that can be viewed at the library, for demonstration or loan. For more information on the library or how technology can help when caring for someone with dementia, contact Christina our coordinator.
